The key to the support is the broad full contact outsole and the rollbar stability system with lateral and medial posts system that has been moved closer to the foot for a more natural gait. The roomy SL4 last has the deepest toe box of any New Balance shoe and a generously cut instep. Each shoe comes with an extra insole underneath the cushion that can be removed to provide even more depth. The Fresh Foam X midsole reduces the weight of the shoe while providing exceptionally firm cushioning. Uppers are mesh with padded collar and tongue.
